Probably Iroquois This incredible treasure was found in the Adirondack region New York State out of a wonderful native American collection.Traditional bird design with a wonderful well shapes of wool found fabric scraps married together and backed with burlap. These fabulous handmade rugs were made to cover beds for warmth table tops and even hearths decoration. The earliest pieces are the ones backed with burlap and are definitely difficult to find a good condition. The scraps of wool shown moth holes that have taken a toll over time. Unlike a quilt a penny rug depicts a story of the day. Thats beautiful native American New York Adirondack penny quilt is indeed well found beauty.
