A very nice piece of Native American Art. This is not a reproduction but an actual mask used by the Haida in dance ceamonies. It is a Haida Bear Clan Mask from the British Columbia area. Made in the early 1900. It was looked at by Jerry Flaxsbeard who was an expert on NW Cost items and valued at close too 10 K back in the 90s.

I don't think the market will bear that now but it is a stellar find. Hand carved cedar, mountain sheep hide, ermine pelts, red hand loomed wool, abalone, horse hair, seagull quils, real indian head head copper penny's dated 1896 and 1897. Comes with a museum stand that the piece can be removed from.

On the stand, it is 26" tall by 10" wide. This is not a tourist piece but an actuall piece used in ceremonial dances. It ended up being re auctioned and was in a Seattle gallery for a time. Then ended up in a collection in Utah.

Very collectible work of historical art. This is a consignment piece. I find items that are unique and make wonderful additions to collections or decor and list them with the information I got at the time I came across them with a reasonable mark up for my time.
