Native American Makah Cylinder Basket Mid Early 20th Century

  
For sale is a Native American bear grass dyed cylinder shaped basket. This basket is circa 1940s - 1960s: The design depicts figures & geometric designs typical of the period. This basket incorporates the wrapped twines technique which is able to produce small, delicate, finely tuned work such as this example. There is a wonderful patina to this basket. The measurements are 5 " H X 2" in diameter at the base and 2 1/2 inches at the top of the basket.

This unique shaped basket is in very good condition for age. Thank you for looking and please follow my store as new art is added often.
