10 Nice Early Native American LG 8 Stone Ax & Tomahawk Heads, Pottery, Virginia

  

VERY Nice Lot of 10 Large, Early Native American Stone Axes & Tomahawks, Pestles, & Soapstone Pottery From 1920 Virginia Collection. Particularly nice looking grouping of handmade Stone axes, tomahawks, soapstone pottery, and tools.

Obviously, the pieces are much older than that, hundreds, and possibly thousands of years old since they were made. Very nice appearance and clearly and nicely hand made. All found in Virginia during the 1920's, on private land with owner's permission.

The lot contains large pieces, with the largest one measuring 8 long. Different shapes and styles and sizes in the group. In addition to the axes there is also what appears to be a nice knife or spear, a large scraper, an oval pestle (used to grind grain), grinding stones (to mix paint, start fires, or to grind materials), and 2 large pieces of SOAPSTONE pottery which is very hard to find.

These pieces will make a great display or addition to an existing collection. They also make great decorative pieces in a variety of places in a collection. A great, special addition to any collection of Native American items, or a great display grouping.
