Antique Life Size Eskimo Inuit doll - early 20th century. MESUREMENTS: 45" x 14" x 5.9 115 x 35 x 15. An early 20th century inuit doll from Greenland measuring an incredible 45 (115 cm) tall which Is equal to a 5-6 year old child. The doll features a hand chrotched top with fur trimming, hide trousers with remnants of fur and hide boots with fur trimming matching that of the top.

Her hair is tied in a knot on top of the head indicating she is unmarried according to Inuit culture. Around the neck a handmade necklace of glass beads. The face is made of textile with hand painted features.

The body is made from sackcloth and is stuffed with what is presumably hay or wood shavings. CONDITION: Some hair loss to the back of the head and clear signs of age related wear to the face and body in general. It is unknown if the necklace is original to the doll.
