Early 1900's Stone Native American Zuni Fetish Bear

  

An outstanding example of a traditional Zuni Pueblo stone bear fetish dating from the early 1900's, or earlier. Measures 3 7/8" long, 2 3/8" tall and 1.25 wide. Unfortunately, somewhere along the many years this fetish has been around its elaborate bundle came undone so that the smooth large shell piece, beads and smaller shells fall to the sides. Such a carving is probably worth the small investment to professionally restore to have the offering secured once again. Please take a look at my other available items.
