Here's a rare and stunning inlaid turquoise cuff bracelet by the renowned Federico Jimenez. I believe that this is an older piece, probably dating from the 1970s. It is marked with the Jimenez intertwined "FJ" and "Sterling". The bracelet features rectangular pieces of turquoise, in various blues and greens, inlaid into a thick and heavy solid sterling silver cuff.
The surface is "smooth as silk" and oh so intricately done! Total weight of the bracelet is 144 grams. Cuff measurements are: 1 3/4" wide (at widest), 1 1/8" opening, 2 3/8" inner diameter at longest, 5 1/2" inside using cloth tape (excluding opening). It is thick and solid so I don't believe it can be sized. PLEASE NOTE: there is a "dab" of silver on the inside at both sides of the opening that I don't believe is original to the piece. I suspect that the original owner had a safety chain attached at one time. Those spots of silver will need to be polished out for long term wear. I've left them just in case the new owner wants to replace the safety chain (although I doubt it). I don't see, or feel, any issues with the cuff structure or turquoise.I try to give any information I have about the listings, and to tell you whether the information is fact or opinion.
