Early Frank Patania Thunderbird Shop Santa Fe Sterling Silver Pill Box with a slightly domed hinged lid. Length 1 1/2" x Width 1" x Depth 5/8. Marked on underside of box with the Frank Patania Thunderbird Shop, Santa Fe, thunderbird hallmark and the world "Sterling". From the Legendary Patania Jewelry website: In the early days, the pieces that came out of the Thunderbird Shop were unmarked. The first mark used by the Thunderbird Shop was, appropriately enough, an actual stamp of a Thunderbird. This box is marked with a solitary thunderbird hallmark, but no initials, indicating that it is an early work by Frank Patania, likely from the 1930's or early-1940's.
