Early Rare Example of Navajo Sterling Silver Pill Box
This box appears to be constructed from small silver plates. The box's overall characteristics (see photos) indicate an early period of Navajo silversmithing, especially the influence of the box's shape and its opening and closing mechanism. The stamps that were used on top of the box appear to be hand made.
The box measures approximately 1"x 3/4"and is 5/8 tall. Slightly hefty for it's size, the box weighs approximately 15 grams. Please feel free to ask questions.
