Early vintage hand hammered coin silver necklace. This is a lovely old hand made necklace and when I say hand made I mean everything. The spider web turquoise, which comes from a classic Arizona mine which I believe may be Lone Mountain, are a mixture of nuggets and vein turquoise.
They are set in old style bezels. Some of the nuggets are domed others almost flat. The main centre piece consists of four nuggets with Oak leaves and a heart shaped stamped overlay. The decorative pattern is continued through the five small pendants on either side. The backing for the pendants is hammered coins, some of the relief still shows through.
This necklace pre-dates rolled sheet. The links, beads & clasp is all hand made and soldered together.
Strung on fox tail chain the total length is 24 and weighs 66.2g or 2.33 oz. Sturdy and well made there is no damage to any of the parts. If you appreciate vintage well made native jewellery then this piece is for you.
