On offer is an authentic, beautiful vintage Native American Navajo hand wrought sterling silver three (3) band cuff bracelet adorned with a beautiful gem quality hand cut and polished agatized petrified wood cabochon stone, silver leaves and raindrops. The stone is most likely from the Arizona Petrified Forest near Holbrook, Arizona. This bracelet was not hallmarked for maker or silver content which was common in Native American silver and stone work prior to 1970.
It tested positive for Sterling. We believe this piece was created circa 1940's. This fine, classic one-of-a-kind bracelet was skillfully crafted in the traditional Navajo technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The cuff is fashioned from two (2) carinated angle and one (1) half round silver bands. The outstanding, gem quality agatized petrified wood cabochon stone is in very good condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. The colors are deep charcoal/black and pale gray inclusions on a burnt orange ground. The stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel. The oval shaped cabochon stone measures approx. 1" long x 3/4" wide. The triple band cuff bracelet measures approx. 1 3/8" tapering to 3/8" wide. The interior circumference of the cuff is approx. 6 3/4" TOTAL including 1 1/4" opening. The cuff has a bit of flexibility for careful adjusting and weighs a hefty 36 grams - 1.160 ounces. This traditional, well crafted vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver and Petrified Wood cuff bracelet created by a highly skilled artisan would make an outstanding addition to any Twentieth Century Native American Silver and Stone Jewelry, Arizona Petrified Wood, or Historic American Cultural Arts and Crafts collection.
