Early Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Large Dramatic Petrified Wood Cuff Bracelet

  
On offer is an authentic, vintage NAVAJO hand wrought. 925 sterling silver three (3) band cuff bracelet adorned with a stunning southwestern desert natural hand-cut and polished petrified wood cabochon stone. This bracelet is not hallmarked which was quite common in earlier Native American jewelry. We believe it was created circa 1940's or perhaps earlier.

This classic bracelet is skillfully executed in the traditional old NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The natural, desert sunset hue petrified wood stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by silver rope, fancy wire work and raindrops on an oxidized (blackened) ground. 1 1/4" long x 7/8" wide.

The three (3) band bracelet is made up of two (2) silver carinated angle bands and one (1) heavy silver rope with end caps. 1 1/2" tapering to 3/8" wide. The interior circumference of the cuff is approx. 6 1/2" TOTAL including 1 1/4" opening. The cuff has a wee bit of flexibility.

It weighs a hefty 34.4 grams - 1.105 ounces. This traditional, well crafted NAVAJO. 925 Sterling Silver and Southwest Petrified Wood cuff bracelet would make an outstanding addition to any Twentieth Century Native American Silver and Stone Jewelry, Southwest American Petrified Wood or Historic Cultural Arts and Crafts collection.
