Fine Old MAKAH PICTORIAL BASKET Early 1900s NW COAST NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ART

  

Finely woven old vintage Makah lidded pictorial basket from the early 1900s depicting a whale, a canoe with whale hunters, and a flying sea bird. Colors somewhat faded on outside from years on display. One end of lid has a tiny chip to long horizontal side splint (see close up).

Otherwise in excellent condition, intact, unbroken, and all original, as shown in the photos. I've added another photo with tape measure over lid end to show minor size and nature of damage.
