Framed Early 20th Century Oil - Child in Native American Costume. A captivating oil portrait of a young boy in native american costume, sitting crossed legged by a wigwam. The boy hold a cheery expression, happy playing the part of an Indian for the popular children's game cowboys and Indians. The rich colours and expressive brushwork really draws the eye in this playful portrait. Presented in a distressed frame with a dark blue border.

Minor stress cracks in the wood panel have caused some crazing to the surface of the oil. Movement in the frame has caused some abrasion to the edge of the panel. Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration. Size: 36 x 28.5cm (14.2" x 11.2"). Framed Size: 44.5 x 36.5cm (17.5" x 14.4").

We operate from dedicated premises in Corsham, Wiltshire in the UK and utilise various humidity controlled storage facilities in the local area. The art in our online gallery has been handpicked by our team of highly qualified art historians. We try our hardest to ensure that artworks are described and photographed as accurately as possible.

This includes using strobe lighting and colour calibrated screens to colour check our images.
