He apprenticed with well-known jeweler Frank Patania and worked in a number of shops in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM. He was a very private person and, as a result, very little is known about his personal life, but he spent his adult life making jewelry for a number of stores and dealers. He worked for Gan's, Packard's and Simpson's stores in Santa Fe, and for Maisel's and The Covered Wagon in Old Town Albuquerque. Finally, he worked for IrmaBailey at Irma's Indian Arts & Pawn in Albuquerque from 1966 until she closed the shop in 1971. After he passed away, Bailey had a collection of over 600 items of Quintana's jewelry and silver works.

In 2004, the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture in Santa Fe exhibited a large amount of this collection. This is an extremely rare old earlier handmade piece by Quintana.

It's a gorgeous solid Sterling silver small belt buckle with a hand stamped design sterling Roadrunner applied to the face. This is a must have piece for you Quintana collectors. Silver still has it's natural dark patina. I added plenty of pictures including measurements for you to see.

It weighs a solid 27+ grams. Such a wonderful traditional handmade piece. Take advantage of owning a rare highly collectible Native American treasure. This item is in the category "Jewelry & Watches\Ethnic, Regional & Tribal\Necklaces & Pendants".
