Obviously was originally taken from a large oval stone when it was first shaped. I have no location data, although this collector had a large collection of local VA, W.

The pestle was used against the mortar for crushing and grinding. They were commonly used for meal preparations such as reducing grain and corn into wheat and meal. A perfect addition to any serious indian relic collection. Measurements: 12 1/2" Long 2 1/2" Diam. Weighs: 4 lbs - 1 oz.
