This is a great doll with a wonderful personality. He stands just under 12 tall, wears a brain-tanned soft leather tunic that has frings around all the seams and leather pants. The outside seams of the pants have pink, light blue, and white beads and fringe. His feet wear beaded moccasins - blue, orange and green beads in floral patterns.

In one hand, he carries a stone club wrapped in leather. The club itself is a wonderful collectible.

There is a burnishing stone held onto a handle with a leather wrap that is stiff with age and probably stiff by how it was made. There is no stick with the club, it is rolled leather sewn together at the seam.

The handle ends when it gets to the stone. A separate piece is molded over the stone like a cap (see photos). This club has a museum number on it (see photo).

The doll has beaded facial feathers framed with by his leather cap. Under the cap, the back of his head has black fabric to represent hair.. Around his neck are orange and red beads that have been beaded into a flower pattern. Around his waist is a leather sash held shut with a blue bead. From his sash is a knife sheath but no knife. The doll is all hand-sewn, his body is lightly stuffed fabric. This is a really nice old doll. The doll maker took care in creating a figure that represents her ancestors cultural history. Although I don't have a photo showing him without his hat, it can be removed for a friendlier, more open look. Other than some staining on the leather, this doll is in good condition for his age. It is 4 1/4 high. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Cultures & Ethnicities\Native American: US\1800-1934\Dolls & Kachinas".
