Navajo Tufa Cast Silver Kokopelli and Mosaic Inlay Bolo Tie by Alvin Yellowhorse. This is an exceptionally beautifully crafted Navajo (Arizona) tufa cast sterling silver and mosaic inlay Kokopelli bolo tie. The high-quality casting is nicely polished, detailed, and precise. This tie was made by the multiple award-winning artist Alvin Yellowhorse (1968-;), and the tie is stamped with his hallmark "horse" and name in script.
Alvin Yellowhorse is very well-known for his exceptionally high-quality mosaic inlay - and this tie is no exception. Alvin Yellowhorse has been actively working silver since 1988, and he learned the craft from his father, Frank Yellowhorse. A silver "figure-eight" loop on the back secures the very pliable 6-ply black leather comfort strap. The strap is in like new condition. 2" tall, 2-9/16" wide, and the entire tie weighs approximately 64g.
