NAVAJO CRYSTAL STORM PATTERN RUG, J. Hand spun, carded and woven wool, early 1900s Crystal Trading Post rug, Storm Pattern. The pattern itself got its start with the J.
Moore post, but I think the identifying name storm pattern began around 1961. Has familiar and common elements but notice the possible crosses, and the rug has the often used waterbug element which some consider actually an otter. Natural white wool, Ganado red, variegated natural brown wool, overdyed black. Included are two pictures from the original/reproduced book or catalog of J. Moore, showing plates XXIX (29) and XXVIII (28).
Normal wear for its age. Nothing particular to speak of.Very rare to have this fine condition. Reasonable starting price, and with offer option.
