DIRECTLY BELOW IS INFORMATION I RECEIVED FROM ANOTHER EBAYER.. This is an early souvenir item from Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico, dating 1900 to 1935, This style of Isleta pottery began in the 1890s when some potters moved into Isleta from Laguna Pueblo, and revived pottery at Isleta with a new type of pottery based on their Laguna pottery. They made small bowls up until 1900, then started adding other items, like pitchers, cups, birds, candlesticks, banks, pipes... Anything to attract the tourists. It lasted until the Great Depression of the 1930s, which ended sales, and the pottery tradition. But there is no connection at all with Zuni (a separate, unrelated Indian tribe/pueblo), or with the Anasazi the name previously used for the prehistoric culture centered around Mesa Verde, now called Ancestral Puebloan, which is dated from 200 BC to AD 1500.
