Rare Early 1900's Hopi MORRIS ROBINSON Hand Stamped Sterling Pill Trinket Box

  
Morris Robinson known as one of the first master silversmiths was from the Hopi Third Mesa and a member of the Snake Clan. His innovative designs separated him among his peers including Allen Pooyouma, Ralph Tawangyawma, Harold Jenkins. His pieces are highly collectible and are displayed in Museums across the country. Robinsons craft work helped influence the next generation of contemporary Hopi artists including the famous Charles Loloma and the legendary Preston Monongye. You are looking at a fine rare example of Morris Robinsons craftsmanship.

This is an early 1900's fine Handmade small sterling silver pill trinket container. Notice the beautiful hand stamp work design across the sides of the container and lids face. Still has it's wonderful natural dark patina on the silver.

Beautiful signature stamp on the inside of the box. The mark is Robinsons signature which consists of a pictoral snake and the letter H.
