The Mayan Stemmed Macro Blade was a remarkable artifact made by the ancient Mayan. `The unique manufacturing technique they used makes it almost impossible for them to be duplicated by modern flintknappers. Hester, a world-renowned archeologist from the University of Texas, once told me he did not know of any modern flintknapper that could duplicate them. Itzamna can appear in many different guises: as a priest, or as earth-caiman (a type of crocodile).

When I look at the side views of these blades I see the profile of a crocodile! The lithicscastinglab dot com has a 4 page right up with beautiful images of these remarkable artifacts. I will continue to list artifacts from my personal collection over the next several weeks. Unless stated otherwise, I believe that the artifacts I list are authentic.
