This is an original early-1900s lot of Sioux tribe Native American clothing accessories. You get a beautiful beaded white necklace; a blue, white, and red beaded belt; and two other pieces that I cannot identify but definitely came from the same estate with this lot. The beaded necklace is made with many strands of white seed glass beads. In between are solid brass bars with hollow brass beads and red glass trade beads. The ends are wound with a black thread and this still has the original bone disc (or bead) that attaches to the other end. The necklace measures approximately 33 long. There is a small bag full of beads that I have saved and will make sure to save any that come off. This will be included with the lot.

The belt is made of the same white and blue seed beads with maroon-colored beads in the center. These are very fragile and as you can see has some missing beads. The belt is in 3 pieces but I'm sure something can be done to reinforce this.

The overall length of the belt not including the strings at the end is approximately 33. The two center cloth pieces are made of a black velvet top with a dyed muslin-material trim.

On the inside is a tan-colored very old paper. The backing is a floral design material. It is completely hand-stitched and has white and blue beadwork.

They measure approximately 11.75" x 2.75" and are in very nice shape with very little damage. I was told that these are moccasin cuffs from a pair of Iroquois moccasins made on a Mohawk reserve near Montreal. I'm not an expert in this area so please ask if you have any questions or would like to see more photos.

I did show these to a person who is very knowledgeable and he gave me the information including the tribe and age. He also mentioned this would have been from the Midwest area. Please ask if you have any questions.
