This necklace is very old and has fabulous turquoise stones that I have never seen before in my career as a jeweler. I believe that the stones are Morenci Turquoise.

The necklace dates possibly going back to the 1930s, however it could be older or newer. It is not signed as was customary for the older pieces, most American Indian Jewelry was not signed until the 1970s. The patination is original and was developed over time.

Most of the parts test positive for silver but the hook and eye clasp do not test, the clasp is a harder unknown metal that appears to be laser fused to the crimp so it is unlikely to come apart and break. The bench beads have had the sharp edged joints ground off making it very comfortable to wear and they also have the popular Navajo Pearl look. This vintage Navajo Indian necklace features a beautiful squash blossom design with turquoise and sterling silver beads.

The pendant is naja shaped, with a horseshoe design, and features 11 gemstones with a moderately included clarity grade. The necklace is 20 inches long and has a hook closure. This unisex necklace is perfect for any occasion, including Mother's Day, Christmas, graduation, anniversary, birthday, and Valentine's Day. The retro style and Southwestern United States ethnic theme make it a unique statement piece.

The necklace is handmade and nickel-free, with a bezel setting style and excellent cut grade. It is a one-of-a-kind piece, perfect for collectors and lovers of Native American jewelry.
